Love Tester Deluxe is a light party toy from Spil Games, the kind of thing friends open together and laugh at. Three hostesses greet you on the menu, each running one test. The Name Match Test puts two text boxes on fluffy clouds under a rainbow: type your name on the left, another name on the right and press the winged Calculate heart. When we tried Anna and Tom, a curly-haired hostess popped up and the heart read 46 percent. The Chinese Horoscope Test pairs animal signs from the Chinese calendar, and the Zodiac Horoscope Test does the same with the twelve western star signs. The numbers come from the game, not from the stars, so treat every result as a joke to share rather than advice about anyone. Low scores are just as fun as high ones, and nobody needs to take them to heart.
| Keyboard | Type the two names |
|---|---|
| Calculate heart | Show the result |
| Test buttons | Switch between name, Chinese and zodiac tests |
| Main Menu | Go back to the hostesses |
How to play Love Tester Deluxe
- Pick one of the three tests on the main menu.
- For the name test, click the left box and type a name, then fill in the right box.
- Press the Calculate heart between the clouds to see the percentage.
- Use the portrait buttons at the bottom to jump to another test without going back.
Tips
- Try the same pair in all three tests; the results rarely agree, which is half the fun.
- Swap the order of the names and see whether the number changes.
- Nicknames and full names give different numbers, so try both for a laugh.
Questions about Love Tester Deluxe
Can this game really predict love?
No. It is entertainment only; the percentage is produced by the game and says nothing real about a relationship.
What tests are included?
A name match, a Chinese horoscope match and a western zodiac match.
Do I need to enter a birthday?
For the horoscope tests you choose signs; the name test only needs two names.
Can two friends play together?
Yes, it is best on one screen with friends taking turns typing names.
Is it kind to use real classmates' names?
Only if everyone involved is in on the joke. Results are random fun and should never be used to tease anyone.
