Bottle Shot is played on a narrow, starry portrait screen. At the top hangs a big green glass bottle upside down, its neck pointing straight at you. Halfway down, a row of glowing balls in yellow, pink, orange, violet and teal drifts sideways across the screen, and from the bottom edge a long wooden billiard cue points up at the gap between them. Your only job is to strike a ball at the right instant so it travels up the dotted guide line and drops through the bottle's mouth.
The input is a single gesture. Hold the mouse button, the spacebar or a finger on the screen and the cue draws back; let go and it snaps forward. A thin gold circle with a crosshair appears around the strike point while you are holding, and that circle is the whole skill test: release when a ball is centred inside it and the shot flies true, release a fraction early or late and the ball clips the glass and falls away in a little burst of particles. In our own attempts plenty of shots that looked centred still rattled off the neck, so this is a game about precision rather than luck.
Every level opens with a card stating the goal. Level one asks for three balls out of ten, and two rows of empty circles at the bottom left fill in as shots are spent and scored. Successful shots earn stars, and stars can be traded for an extra attempt at the rate printed on the title screen, ten stars for one shot. Run out of shots short of the target and the run ends.
It suits a phone held upright or a short desktop break, and a level lasts about as long as it takes to use ten shots.

How to play Bottle Shot
- Press Play on the title screen, read the goal on the level card and press Play again.
- Hold the button or screen to draw the cue back and bring up the gold aiming circle.
- Watch the row of balls slide sideways and wait for one to sit in the middle of the circle.
- Release at that moment so the ball rides the dotted line up into the bottle's neck.
- Reach the target count before the shot counter runs out, then move to the next level.
Tips
- Hold the cue early and keep it drawn; the decision is only about when to let go, not how hard.
- Balls move at a steady pace, so count the beat between two of them passing the centre and release on that rhythm.
- Save stars for a level where you are one ball short instead of spending them early.
Questions about Bottle Shot
What is the aim in Bottle Shot?
Knock moving balls with a cue so they fly up into an upside-down bottle, reaching each level's quota before your shots run out.
How many shots do I get?
Level one gives ten shots and asks for three to land; the indicator under the playfield tracks both numbers.
What are the stars for?
Scoring shots award stars, and ten stars buy one extra shot when you are about to fail a level.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, touching and holding the screen pulls the cue and lifting your finger shoots, and the tall layout fits a phone held upright.
Is it related to the neal.fun website?
No. The game files are served from a similarly named domain, but nothing in the game connects it to that site.
Do I need to download it?
No, it runs in the browser.
