Meerkat Mission is a Spil Games tower defense with a grumpy premise. It opens on a meerkat asleep on a sofa in his burrow, jolted awake by engines roaring overhead. The race cars tearing across the desert are ruining the peace, so the colony takes up arms. The playfield is a top-down view of a sandy track running through cracked orange rock, with bushes marking spots along the verge. Along the bottom bar sit four unit buttons marked with bullets, a flame, a rocket and wave lines, and next to them your coins, the wave counter and your remaining lives. A level starts with 150 coins, five lives and sixteen waves to survive. Every buggy that makes it past your gunners costs a life, and every one you wreck pays out coins for the next placement. It is a compact, readable take on the genre with a cartoon sense of humour.

How to play Meerkat Mission
- Start from the menu and skip or watch the short burrow cutscene.
- Pick a meerkat type from the four icons at the bottom left.
- Click a free spot next to the track to post it there, spending coins.
- Launch the wave and watch the cars drive into your fire.
- Use the coins from wrecked cars to add more units, and survive all sixteen waves with lives to spare.
Tips
- Place early units where the road is visible for the longest stretch, not at the very start.
- Mix unit types; different weapons suit fast buggies and tougher vehicles.
- Keep a few coins after each wave in case a gap opens in your line.
