Flipline Studios built a whole series of restaurant games on this one. In Papa's Pizzeria you are the new employee left alone in Papa Louie's shop, and every pizza passes through four rooms that you switch between with the coloured buttons in the top right corner: green for orders, yellow for toppings, red for the oven and blue for cutting. A customer walks up to the counter, you press Take Order, and a paper ticket appears listing exactly what they want: which topping, how many pieces and on which half, a bake time drawn as a small dial and the cutting pattern. You hang that ticket on the rail at the top of the screen so it follows you from room to room. Nothing is timed by a clock you can see, but customers wait, and when they finally taste the result each station is scored separately. Our first order came back at 100, 87, 93 and 100 points with a $2.70 tip, and tips keep adding up as the day goes on.
| Coloured buttons | Switch between the Order, Topping, Baking and Cutting stations |
|---|---|
| Drag the ticket | Move an order ticket between the rail at the top and the side panel |
| Drag toppings | Pull pieces from the round bins onto the pizza, one at a time |
| Click a pizza in the oven | Take it out and carry it to the cutting board |
| Drag across the pizza | Cut a straight slice line |
How to play Papa's Pizzeria
- After the promo screen press CONTINUE, then Start Game, choose an empty save slot and type a name.
- At the counter click Take Order when a customer arrives, then drag the new ticket up onto the rail.
- Go to the Topping station, drag the ticket into the side panel and press Make Pizza. Sauce and cheese are already on; drag each topping exactly where the ticket shows.
- Press Into Oven. The oven holds four pizzas, each with its own dial. Take the pizza out when its dial matches the bake time on the ticket.
- At the Cutting station drag lines across the pizza to match the pattern, then press Finish Order and watch the score.
Tips
- Count the pieces. The ticket says how many go on each half, and extra or missing pepperoni costs topping points.
- Spread toppings evenly. The tutorial shows faint circles where pieces belong; landing near them is what gives a high score.
- Keep the ticket on the rail while a pizza bakes. You can switch rooms to take the next order and come back before the dial passes the mark.
- Cut straight through the centre. A cross of two lines makes four slices, and crooked cuts lose points even when the count is right.
Questions about Papa's Pizzeria
Is the Freezeria advert at the start part of the game?
Yes. The original file opens with Flipline's own screen for a newer Papa's game. Press CONTINUE in the bottom right corner to reach the real title menu.
Does the game save progress?
It uses three save slots inside the game, so your day and tips are kept in the same browser.
Can I play Papa's Pizzeria on a phone?
Everything is click and drag, so a finger can do it, but placing small toppings precisely on a phone screen is fiddly. A mouse is much easier.
How is a pizza scored?
Each station is judged on its own: order waiting time, topping placement, bake time and cut accuracy. The average sets the tip.
