The January 2010 issue of Cosmoangel opens the run of monthly covers, and it is dressed for cold weather. On the title page the model, a curly blonde with amber eyes, wears a quilted jacket with a fur collar, a ruffled mustard scarf, denim shorts over dark tights and tall tan boots. Once you start, that outfit disappears and you get an empty stage lit by three grey spotlights, with the model in plain white basics. The wardrobe leans on layering: dark knitted dresses, fur-edged minis, jackets and a hosiery tab for tights and leggings. The fun lies in stacking warm pieces without losing her shape.

How to play Cover Model Dress Up: January
- Click the Dress Your Own Model line on the cover to reach the wardrobe.
- Use the left tabs for hair, eyes, lipstick, top, bottom, jacket and dress.
- The right side holds jewels, hosiery, shoes and bags, with sound, done and reset below them.
- Choose a thumbnail from the panel that opens; the X square clears that slot.
- Hit done to place her on the finished cover, then use the text 1, text 2, text 3 and bg colors tabs to restyle the headlines and background.
Tips
- A dress plus a jacket covers most of her, so start there and add hosiery last.
- The grey spotlights suit dark outfits; a black fur-trimmed dress against pale blonde hair looks sharp on this cover.
- Match the boots to the jacket rather than the dress to lead the eye from top to bottom.
- If the outfit starts to look heavy, swap the jacket for a lighter top and keep the boots; in winter the feet do most of the work.
