The story begins on a travel site. In the intro Doan searches for a hotel room in the town of Portallini, finds nothing at all for next spring, then finds exactly one result for any season, Papa's Pastaria, and clicks Reserve. A box arrives at the door with an employee manual and a Gondol Air boarding pass from Burgerburgh, already departing. Once you are behind the counter, each plate goes through four kitchens. In Cook you drop a jar of pasta into one of four pots with strainers, give it a stir with the wooden spoon halfway through, and lift it when the meter reaches the shade the ticket asks for, orange for regular. The strainer drains for a few seconds before the noodles can go on a plate. Build is where the sauce is poured by holding the mouse over the plate, followed by cheese from a shaker and toppings like meatballs or mushrooms, often five of them that should form a cross. Bread sends a garlic breadstick along a conveyor through the toaster. Our first guest, Allan, gave 74% for the build and 71% for the bread.

How to play Papa's Pastaria
- Press CONTINUE on the opening advert, then Play. Choose a slot and a worker: Doan, Utah or one you design.
- Take the order. The ticket shows the bread at the top, then toppings with a count, cheese, sauce and the pasta shape with its cooking meter.
- In Cook, start the right pasta, stir once halfway, take it out at the right colour and drag the drained strainer onto a plate.
- In Build, select the sauce jar, hold to pour, shake on cheese and place toppings where the faint circles show.
- Press NEXT, toast the bread on the conveyor, set it on the plate and hand the ticket to the holder.
Tips
- Stirring is part of the cook, so keep an eye on every pot and use the spoon when its meter is halfway.
- Wait until the water stops dripping before moving the strainer. Pulling it early is a common lost point.
- For five toppings, place one in the centre and four around it at equal distances.
- Four pots mean four plates in progress. Once you are confident, start the next customer's pasta right after taking the order.
Questions about Papa's Pastaria
Can I play Papa's Pastaria on a phone or tablet?
Everything is drag and hold, so touch can control it, but pouring sauce evenly and placing small toppings is much harder on a phone. Use a computer with a mouse if you can.
What does the advert at the start mean?
Flipline put a promotion for its mobile Freezeria game in front of the original Flash file. CONTINUE skips it.
Why did my pasta get a low cook score?
The tutorial asks for three things: stir once at the halfway mark, lift the pot when the meter shows the colour on the ticket, and let the water drain before plating. We got 0% on our first plate by rushing it.
