Zombotron is a 2011 platform shooter by Ant Karlov. You are a biobot in a red suit and a dome helmet, switched on inside a cave laboratory, and a green console in the corner prints its boot messages as the level starts. The world is built from heavy stone blocks, wooden crates, barrels and twisted pipes, and almost all of it is physical: boxes slide, stacks topple and a well-placed shot can do more than the bullet itself. Green-skinned zombies shamble along the tunnels and wait on the ledges above. The hero starts with a pistol and a limited clip, shown as 8/30 at the top left, next to a coin counter and a long health bar. The campaign is drawn as a branching map titled System of Laboratories, nine levels and a boss in the tenth, and every stage adds three side missions: beat a time limit, collect 25 coins and bring back zombie heads.

How to play Zombotron
- The first screen is an advert for another game. Press its green PLAY button to continue to the Zombotron menu.
- Press Play. On the System of Laboratories map choose Casual or Normal difficulty and WASD or ESDF keys, then click Level 1.
- Read the three missions while the level loads and press Space to start.
- Walk through the lab, aim at zombies with the mouse and click to fire. Grab the coins you pass; they count toward the mission.
- If the biobot dies, press Space to respawn at the start of the level. Reach the exit to unlock the next room on the map.
Tips
- The clip is small. Wait until a zombie is close and in line before clicking, instead of firing at the edge of the screen.
- Crates and barrels obey physics and can be shoved around, so look at a room's loose objects before charging in.
- Missions are separate from finishing. Clear a level once, then replay it for the under 150 seconds timer or the coin target.
- Casual difficulty is the right choice for a first run; you can switch to Normal later on the same map screen.
