Betsy runs a bright craft studio, and this time the theme is sand. You start at a shelf of line drawings: a squirrel, a floppy-eared dog, a robot and a teddy bear are free, while other templates such as girls in dresses carry a price in sand jars. Pick a picture and the real craft begins: lay glue where you want colour, pour sand over it, and shake off what does not stick. Areas can be built up colour by colour, and a Free Mode lets you work without a template. Finished pictures get a frame, and the original version let you print or save them. It is a classic Spil Games creative title from around 2012, part of Betsy's crafts series.

How to play Betsy's Crafts: Sand Painting
- Press Start Game in Betsy's studio.
- Pick one of the free templates from the shelf, or save up sand jars to unlock the others.
- Spread glue on one part of the picture, then pour a sand colour over it.
- Repeat with other parts and colours until the whole drawing is filled.
- Choose a frame to finish the artwork and move on to the next picture.
Tips
- Glue one colour area at a time; sand sticks to every wet spot, so gluing too much mixes colours.
- Keep light colours for large areas and save dark sand for outlines and small details.
- Finished pictures earn the jars you need to unlock the paid templates.
- Try a two-tone look on the animals, such as a pale body with a darker tail and ears, for a quick result that still looks crafted.
Questions about Betsy's Crafts: Sand Painting
Which pictures can I use at the start?
Several animal and robot templates are free; others cost sand jars that you collect as you finish pictures.
Can I draw my own design?
Yes. Free Mode gives you a blank board to glue and sand however you like.
Is there any time pressure?
No. You can take as long as you want on each picture.
How is it different from colouring in?
Colour goes on in two steps, glue then sand, so you control the texture as well as the colour, much like the real craft.
Who is Betsy?
She is the host of a series of craft games from Spil Games, each built around a different hobby.
