Blockader hands the trigger to the computer and keeps the footwork for you. Your space rodent shoots automatically at whatever alien bug is closest, which sounds like it removes the skill until the first swarm pours in and you realise the only decision left is where your body is. The arena is a closed circle on the moon, and that shape is the whole puzzle: the rim feels safe because nothing is behind you, yet it is exactly where the bugs pin you and where snipers wait.
Each wave has a meter at the top of the screen that fills as you kill. When it tops out, the fight pauses and you choose one card from a random hand drawn across four rarity tiers. More than a hundred cards sit in the pool, from extra bullets and chain lightning to poison clouds, bouncing arrows and a dragon pet, and they stack. Spacebar rerolls a hand you dislike. A run grows into a build, and by the later waves the build decides whether your auto-fire clears a crowd or merely annoys it.
Between attempts the game keeps something back for you. Stars and cheese coins dropped by fallen enemies buy permanent Gear upgrades in three branches: Offense for damage and fire rate, Defense for health and damage reduction, Utility for run speed and better drops. Six rodent characters each have their own stats and a separate skill tree, and a card book records every card you have found.
The measure of a good attempt is the wave number, which goes on a worldwide leaderboard. Eight danger levels change how enemies attack, so a strategy that carries you through the early rounds needs rethinking once the pressure rises.

How to play Blockader
- Keep circling through the middle of the arena instead of hugging the wall, where bugs close in from both sides.
- Drag enemies into a loose group behind you so each automatic volley hits several at once.
- Watch the wave meter at the top; once it fills, the round stops and a card choice appears.
- Choose cards that feed one idea, such as more projectiles or area damage, rather than a bit of everything.
- Spend stars and cheese coins in the shop after each attempt, then push for a higher wave.
Tips
- Snipers sit near the rim, which is one more reason to cut across the centre.
- Early Defense gear buys the time a weak build needs to find its key cards.
- Try each rodent for a few runs, because their perks reward different card combinations.
