The sequel keeps the single rule that made the first game stand out, and then builds its opening around it with real care. You start pressed against a pale wall in a maze of blue-white partitions, a banner overhead reads that time only moves when you move, and nothing in the room stirs. Turn the camera and a low-poly orange figure with an axe is caught mid-stride a few metres away, frozen like a statue. Behind him sits a white table with a rifle, a pistol and a couple of dark round grenades laid out on it, and further back a pink gas cylinder leans against the wall. An orange square at the edge of the screen keeps pointing toward the weapon you are supposed to grab first.

That first minute teaches the whole game. Even turning your head lets the attacker drift a little closer, so looking around is not free, it just costs far less than walking. The tutorial prompt says take the gun, and the real question is the route: step toward the table and you hand the axe man several strides, or turn, pick your angle and close the gap in one efficient line. Left click picks up and fires, right click throws whatever you hold, and WASD moves you.

Later rooms widen into arenas with several enemies at once, explosive cylinders that can clear a group from range, and weapons you can strip from opponents or hurl at them when the magazine runs dry. Bodies split into angular shards when hit, which keeps the screen readable even when three things happen in the same second. Each level is short, a single hit sends you back to its start, and restarts are instant, so the loop is plan, commit, fail, refine.

Expect a video advert from the distribution network before the menu loads; close it and the level select appears with the controls listed in the corner.

Controls

Right click / RThrow the held weapon or object at an enemy

How to play Time Shooter 2

  1. Press Play on the title screen and click inside the game so it captures the mouse.
  2. Before moving, sweep the camera around to find every enemy and the nearest weapon marker.
  3. Walk to the table and left click the gun; time only flows while your feet or view are moving.
  4. Shoot attackers as they line up, or throw an empty weapon to knock one down at close range.
  5. Clear the last enemy without taking a hit to unlock the next level; one hit restarts the room.

Tips

  • The off-screen orange square points at the objective, so follow it instead of wandering.
  • Small, deliberate camera turns cost less time than walking, so aim first and step second.
  • A gas cylinder near a cluster of enemies is worth a bullet before you aim at anyone individually.

Questions about Time Shooter 2

How is this different from the first Time Shooter?

The rule is the same, but levels open with a guided tutorial, enemies swing melee weapons as well as shooting, and rooms mix tables of weapons with explosive cylinders.

Does time really stop?

Almost. Standing still nearly freezes everything, while walking runs time at normal speed and turning the camera nudges it forward slightly.

How many hits can I take?

None. Any hit ends the attempt and restarts the current level straight away.

Why does an advert play first?

The build comes through a games distribution network that shows a video advert before the menu. It has a Close button.

Can I play it on a phone?

It is built around mouse look and keyboard movement, and that is the only setup we tested; a desktop or laptop is the safe choice.

Do I need to install anything?

No, it loads in the browser tab.
