Cyclomaniacs lines up a field of cartoon cyclists who have no business being on a bike together: a giant robot, a pirate, a penguin, a skeleton called Billy Boneshaker, a clown and a man with no brakes. The races are side-on, over rolling dunes and cliffs, and the physics of the bike matter. You lean back and forward to land cleanly on slopes, a good landing keeps your speed, and time in the air or a backward somersault fills a stunt meter that turns into boost. Each world has five tracks, and each track has three small achievements, such as finishing in under sixty seconds or doing two somersaults, that unlock the next track, a new rider or a new world. Prize money buys upgrades to top speed, acceleration, brakes, boost and spin. It was made by LongAnimals and RobotJAM and first appeared in 2009.

How to play Cyclomaniacs
- Click inside the game, press Play Game and choose a world. The Dunes is open from the start; Volcania, Sunset City, the Outlands, the Moon and the Planetoid are unlocked later.
- Pick a track, read its three achievements, then pick a rider. At first only the robot is available.
- Hold Up to ride, lean with Left and Right to match the angle of the ground, and hop over bumps to stay fast.
- Get air time and flips to fill the stunt meter, which feeds the boost meter. Use the boost on long straights.
- Finish not last to count the race. Spend your prize money on the upgrade bars below the track list.
Tips
- Landing with both wheels parallel to the slope keeps nearly all your speed. Landing nose first slows you down more than a slow start does.
- Backward somersaults are worth trying on the first track: two of them unlock the Outlands caves, and the stunt points top up your boost.
- Put your first dollars into acceleration. Races are short, and getting back up to speed after a bad landing matters more than a higher top speed.
- Achievements do not have to be done in one race. Replay a track to tick off the one you missed.
Questions about Cyclomaniacs
How do I unlock new riders and tracks?
Each track lists three achievements. Completing them unlocks the next track, a new world, riders and extras like the horn.
What do the Boost and Stunt meters do?
Tricks and air time fill the stunt meter, and that charges your boost. Boost gives a short burst of speed.
Is there a two-player mode?
No. You race alone against computer riders.
Does it save my progress?
Yes, in your browser. The Clear Save Data button on the title screen resets it.
