The sequel keeps the premise and changes almost everything you look at. This time a blonde princess in a tiara and an icy blue ball gown is the one hoping for a prince, and her candidate is a yellow frog with black stripes sitting on a pink cushion on a stack of wooden rings. Her laboratory is an attic under a purple, star-painted ceiling, with a ladder, a window, stacked planks and shelves of little bottles. The ingredient list is different and deliberately silly: a rubber duck, a wedge of blue-veined cheese, a jar full of hearts, a ukulele, a wooden cube frame, a basket of herbs and flowers, and a few colored potions. The three steps are the same as before: brew, apply, kiss. What changes is that the search for the right four items starts from scratch, since nothing from the first recipe is on these shelves.
| Drag an item | Put it in the round flask |
|---|---|
| Green bubble | Brew the lipstick once four items are in |
| Fast side-to-side mouse | Fill the lipstick meter |
| Rapid clicks on the frog | Pucker up and kiss |
How to play Frogtastic 2
- Press Play; the How to Play page sums up brew, apply and kiss if you want a reminder.
- Drag four different attic items into the flask and check the slots along the bottom.
- Click the green bubble that invites you to brew your magic lipstick.
- Sweep the mouse back and forth until the meter says she is irresistibly kissable.
- Click the yellow frog as quickly as you can and wait for the spell to reveal your prince.
Tips
- If you played the first game, forget its recipe; none of those ingredients exist in this attic.
- Try one theme at a time, for example all music and romance items, then all food and animal items, and compare what the kiss produces.
- Drop items one at a time and wait for each to settle in its slot before dragging the next.
Questions about Frogtastic 2
Do I need to play the first Frogtastic?
No. The story and controls are explained again, and this game stands on its own.
What changed from the original?
A new princess, a yellow frog, an attic instead of a fireplace room, and a completely different set of ingredients to experiment with.
Why did my item bounce back?
Each item can be used once, and it has to be dropped over the flask. Grab it by the center and release it on the glass.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes. The kissing is a cartoon peck on a frog and the tone is pure fairytale comedy.
