Can a good eye for clothes get you onto the runway? That is the question behind this Spil Games edition, and the opening card puts it plainly: use your daily allowance to buy everything you need to make it as a model. The budget is the most generous in the series at $1000 a day, but the street is also the longest. A pink convertible cruises past a row of more than a dozen stores: Cowaboom!, Cherry On Top, Elegance International, Forever 17, Mucci, the gothic Princess of Darkness, the stately Laguna, a T-shirt shop, a Tattoo Style Shop and Heads Up. Some fronts hint at the model lifestyle rather than clothes, such as the Fit 'n Fab gym and a Vital Vitamins store, while the Fashion Slot Machine and the Daily Wheel of Fashion Fortune add a bit of luck. Local businesses offer shifts for extra cash, and side challenges push your supermodel career along.

How to play Shopaholic Models

  1. Choose one of three models on the spotlit stage, name her and read the supermodel briefing.
  2. Collect $1000 on the card and start walking; the boulevard loops past every shop in turn.
  3. Enter a store, look at all colour variations and buy the pieces you want with the cart.
  4. Take work shifts at the local businesses when you want more money than the allowance gives.
  5. Complete the side challenges to move your career forward, and grab the cash bags lying on the sidewalk.
  6. Style the model in the wardrobe, sell what you do not wear and photograph the outfits you are proud of.

Tips

  • With this many shops, walk the full loop once before buying anything so you know where the best pieces are.
  • A large budget still runs out; keep a little back for the next challenge instead of spending it all on day one.
  • The spin-based shops are a gamble, so try them only once you have covered your essentials.
