Night has fallen over a cartoon Manhattan, yellow taxis roll along the curb and every storefront glows in neon. This Spil Games dress-up from the early 2010s gives you one girl, a Lady Card that refills with $600 each morning, and a looping avenue of boutiques to spend it in. Felice First Avenue sells skirts and cocktail dresses, Mimmy Shoe and Floral Flipflops cover your feet, Susan's Secrets, French Kiss and M&V fill the gaps, and a Devilish hairdresser, a pet shop and the Daily Wheel of Fashion Fortune sit between them. Nothing forces you to spend everything: whatever stays on the card rolls over to tomorrow. The twist in this city is the Daily Challenge. Each day names one piece, such as a tiered purple gown, and asks you to build an outfit around it. Finishing it pays extra cash, and the look is saved to a challenge calendar you can leaf through later.

How to play Shopaholic New York
- Pick one of three girls, give her a name, age and star sign, then accept the first $600 on the Lady Card.
- Read the Daily Challenge card before shopping, because it tells you which piece today's outfit has to include.
- Hold the yellow arrows to stroll past the shops and click any front door to see what that store stocks.
- Check the colour boxes under each item, then press the cart to buy the version you want; greyed items marked Sold Out cannot be bought.
- Open the wardrobe from the portrait icon to try clothes on, and use the dollar button to sell anything you regret.
- Save the finished outfit to the calendar to claim the challenge money, then continue the next day with whatever cash is left.
Tips
- Watch the corner banner: one shop at a time runs a 50 percent sale with a short countdown, and that is the cheapest moment to buy.
- The street loops, so walking in one direction long enough brings you back to Felice First Avenue.
- Selling an unworn piece returns money to the card, which can rescue a challenge you are just short on.
