This time Bob is not moving house, he is late for a party. A storybook intro shows him setting off with a present for his grandfather, who lives at the far side of a dangerous forest, and the whole sequel takes place among logs, roots, rivers and giant flowers rather than on a building site. The levels sit on a winding forest path on the map, with a gift box marking the start and a long chain of locked stones leading down to the exit. The routine is the same at heart, Bob creeps forward and you rearrange the world, but the gadgets are woodland ones. The very first stage puts a spring trampoline under him and a row of spikes beside a ledge: press the red button on the trampoline and he is thrown high in the air, then pull the lever on the wooden tower to lower a blocker over the spikes before he lands. The next stage already brings a heavy boulder on a high ledge and a cauldron watched by two hungry caterpillars, and a tutorial early on reminds you that Bob can still be stopped with a click.
| Click Bob | Stop the snail in his shell and start him again; your main way to wait for traps |
|---|---|
| Click red buttons | Fire trampolines, lifts and other machines when Bob is in position |
| Click levers | Lower blockers over spikes, open gates and move bridges |
| x1 / x2 | Switch between normal and double crawling speed |
How to play Snail Bob 2
- Press Play on the round island title screen, skip the intro book and choose Play again on the forest menu.
- On the map, click the golden stone marked 1 next to the gift box.
- Watch Bob walk in and look for buttons and levers circled with white dashes.
- Trigger them in the right order and at the right moment, for example launch Bob first and cover the spikes while he is in the air.
- Reach the wooden Exit sign to collect the score and continue to the next stone on the path.
Tips
- Timing matters more here than in the first game. Several stages need a lever pulled while Bob is mid-jump, not before.
- Read the short hint text at the top of the early levels; it introduces each new kind of gadget in turn.
- Score falls every second, so restart a level you solved slowly and redo it at double speed for a better total.
- The big Walkthrough button is always there, but trying a level twice on your own usually reveals the order of the switches.
