The third Achievement Unlocked, released by jmtb02 in 2012, finally gives the elephant a job. It opens in a dark room with a single word scrawled on the wall, Free Candy?, and an arrow pointing at a pipe. Walk into it and you drop into a red and purple machine room in front of King Hamster, an orange rodent in a gold crown who calls himself your supreme overlord and extremely attractive leader. He hires you on the spot because he needs 600 pellets of food, points you to a pellet vending machine outside the room, and only then switches the achievements on. From that point a panel on the right lists 400 of them with All, In Progress and Near You tabs, and a strip along the top counts coins, achievements, feet fallen, steps taken and tiles touched. The loading screen promises ten rooms, 650 pellets, ten hamsters, 250 coins and 1,765 blocks. The rooms are linked by see-through hamster tubes you ride from one area to another, with spike strips and yellow chevron pads in between. The list is as silly as ever: there are entries for preferring arrows or W A S D, for standing still, and even for your computer clock showing a number divisible by two.

How to play Achievement Unlocked 3
- Press Play when the bar reaches 100 percent. A grey box saying the publisher's services are unavailable appears; close it with the Close button or the X in its corner.
- Press Play Now. The same box appears a second time over the save menu, so close it again.
- Ignore Click to Login, which needs the dead online service, and choose New Game under Local Save. Progress stays in this browser.
- Click once inside the game, walk right and drop into the pipe under the Free Candy sign.
- Press Down to read King Hamster's speech, then leave his room, find pellets and keep an eye on the list as achievements tick over.
Tips
- Keyboard input only starts after a click inside the game. If the elephant ignores the keys, click the play area once.
- Use the All, In Progress and Near You tabs under the list instead of scrolling through 400 entries one by one.
- Some entries reward doing nothing for a while, so a short break away from the keys is not wasted time.
- Ride every hamster tube once early on. They connect the areas, and jumping into one counts as an achievement too.
Questions about Achievement Unlocked 3
Why does an error box about unavailable services pop up?
The game was built to talk to its publisher's online service, which no longer answers. Close the box; the game itself runs normally afterwards.
Will my progress be saved?
Choose New Game under Local Save. That keeps your progress in this browser. The online login option no longer works.
Is this harder than Achievement Unlocked 2?
It is bigger. Instead of one screen there are linked rooms, a story goal of 600 pellets and 400 achievements instead of 250.
Does it work on a phone?
No. Moving and jumping need a physical keyboard, so play it on a computer.
