The first chapter of the Cosmo Angel rivalry opens at a magazine party. A short comic sets the scene, with an evening celebration and a host asking the crowd to applaud the favourite cover model, and then the spotlight splits in two. Karen and Giselle stand hand in hand on an aircraft-cabin set, both wanting the next cover, and you dress them at the same time. The theme of this issue is the retro stewardess: fitted sheath dresses, neck scarves, little caps and patterned tights. Spil Games released it around 2011 as the start of a longer storyline, and the whole point is comparison. Whatever you put on one girl, the other is standing right beside her, so you end up styling either a matching pair or a deliberate contrast.

How to play Cosmo Angel: A Rival Appears
- Press Play, then step through the comic panels with the orange arrow in the bottom-right corner.
- Two columns of round icons frame the cabin: hair, eyes, lips, tops, bottoms, hats, dresses, tights, shoes, make-up and accessories.
- Open a category and pick a thumbnail. The small 1, 2 and 3 dots under most items switch between colour versions of the same piece.
- Use the X tile at the bottom of a list to remove that item again.
- When both outfits are finished, press the star between the two models to lay them out on the magazine spread, where the T1 to T4 buttons restyle the headlines.
Tips
- Give the two girls a shared colour but different silhouettes, so the cover reads as a pair rather than two strangers.
- The burgundy sheath dress with the white neck scarf is the quickest route to the stewardess look shown on the title screen.
- Try every colour dot before discarding a piece; something that looks wrong in one shade often works in another.
