A picnic blanket, a wooden table, and on the left a cream board holding a picture made of tiny coloured cubes: a cupcake, a trophy, a little house. That picture is lunch. To its right sits an anthill and four empty white trays, and further right a stack of boxes, each painted red, orange, blue or teal and stamped with a number such as 14 or 16. The number is how many cubes the ants inside will carry off.

Tap a box and it hops onto a tray beside the nest. A stream of ants in the same colour pours out, runs across to the picture and starts chewing away cubes of their own shade, one each, until the box is empty and disappears. The tutorial puts it in one line: the ants only eat food of the same colour as their box. The trick is that they can only reach cubes on the exposed edge of the drawing, so a red box sent too early may find nothing it can touch and simply sit there, blocking a tray.

Four trays sounds generous on level one and feels tight by level ten. Every waiting box occupies a slot, and if all of them fill with colours that have no reachable target, the level jams. Reading the picture before you tap, working out which colour will be uncovered next and holding that box back until it has work to do, is the whole puzzle. Coins earned along the way pay for boosters that add a tray, shuffle the waiting boxes, pull one back, or clear an entire colour at once.

The menu adds a daily reward chest, a dated daily challenge and a timed Ant Rush mode that opens at level ten. A fast-forward button in the corner speeds up the march when you already know the answer.

How to play Ant Flow

  1. Press Play on the menu to open the next level.
  2. Look at which colours sit on the outer edge of the pixel picture.
  3. Tap a box whose colour matches those exposed cubes; its ants march out and eat them.
  4. Wait for the box to empty and leave before committing another colour you are unsure of.
  5. Keep at least one tray free so a newly uncovered colour always has somewhere to go.
  6. Clear the whole picture to finish the level and collect coins.

Tips

  • Count cubes: a box stamped 16 needs sixteen reachable cubes, so a nearly hidden colour will stall it.
  • Save the colour clear booster for the last stubborn layer instead of the first jam.
  • Speed the ants up only once the remaining order is obvious; at normal pace you have time to see what opens next.

Questions about Ant Flow

What is the goal in Ant Flow?

Send out boxes of coloured ants until they have eaten every cube of the pixel picture.

Why does a box just sit on its tray?

Its ants only eat cubes of their own colour that are already exposed; if none are reachable, the box waits and keeps the tray occupied.

What happens when all the trays are full?

If no waiting box can reach a target, the level is stuck and you need a booster or a restart.

What is Ant Rush?

A separate timed mode that unlocks at level ten.

Does it work on phones?

Yes, everything is a single tap, and the landscape layout fits a phone turned sideways.
